Commonwealth of Australia Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999 Section 269A Instrument Revoking and Jointly Making Recovery Plans I, Greg Hunt, Minister for the Environment: (a) pursuant to subsection 33(3) of the Acts Interpretation Act 1901 and subsection 269A(2) of the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999, hereby revoke the making of the following Commonwealth recovery plan: - Department of the Environment and Heritage (2005). Recovery Plan for the following species of handfish: Spotted handfish (Brachionichthys hirsutus), Red handfish (Brachionichthys politus), Ziebell's handfish (Sympterichthys sp. [CSIRO #T6.01]), Waterfall Bay handfish (Sympterichthys sp. [CSIRO #T1996.01]). Department of the Environment and Heritage, Canberra (b) under section 269A(3) of the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999, hereby jointly make a recovery plan with the Tasmanian Minister for the Environment, Parks and Heritage, the Hon. Matthew Groom, for the listed threatened species specified below, entitled "Department of the Environment (2015). Recovery Plan for Three Handfish Species. Department of the Environment, Canberra." Listed Threatened Species Brachionichthys hirsutus Thymichthys politus Brachiopsilus ziebelli
This instrument will come into force on the day after it is registered on the Federal Register of Legislative Instruments.
