Social Security (Exempt Lump Sum – Queensland Taxi Transitional Assistance Payment) Determination 2017
I, Anita Davis, delegate of the Secretary of the Department of Social Services, make the following determination under paragraph 8(11)(d) of the Social Security Act 1991.

1 Name This instrument is the Social Security (Exempt Lump Sum – Queensland Taxi Transitional Assistance Payment) Determination 2017.
2 Commencement
(1) Each provision of this instrument specified in column 1 of the table commences, or is taken to have commenced, in accordance with column 2 of the table. Any other statement in column 2 has effect according to its terms.

This instrument is made under paragraph 8(11)(d) of the Social Security Act 1991.
4 Definitions
In this instrument:
Act means the Social Security Act 1991.
Queensland Taxi Transitional Assistance Payment means a one-off lump sum payment made by the Queensland Government under the Taxi and Limousine Industry Assistance Scheme Regulation 2016 (Qld) to the holder of an appropriate taxi or limousine service licence. For the holder of more than one taxi licence, the payment is capped at $40,000.
