COMMONWEALTH OF AUSTRALIA Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999 List of CITES Species Declaration of a stricter domestic measure in accordance with section 303CB I, Josh Frydenberg, Minister for the Environment and Energy, pursuant to subsection 303CB(1) of the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999 (EPBC Act), hereby declare that the list of CITES[1] species established under subsection 303CA(1) of the EPBC Act, has effect as if all species of the order Cetacea (all whales, porpoises and dolphins) included in Appendix II to CITES are included in Appendix I to CITES. The instrument will commence on 1 April 2017.
