This Standard may also be cited as Australian Design Rule 88/00 — Electronic Stability Control (ESC) Systems. 2. Commencement 1. This Standard commences on the day after it is registered.
2. FUNCTION 1. The function of this standard is to specify requirements for Electronic Stability Control (ESC) systems on passenger cars and light commercial vehicles to reduce the risk of crashes involving a loss of directional control of the vehicle, including those resulting in vehicle rollover.
