The Australian Communications and Media Authority makes the following Determination under subsection 110(3) of the Telecommunications Act 1997.

1 Name This is the Telecommunications (Section of the Telecommunications Industry – Public Number Directory Publishers) Determination 2017.

2 Commencement This Determination commences at the start of the day after it is registered on the Federal Register of Legislation.

3 Authority This Determination is made under subsection 110(3) of the Telecommunications Act 1997.

4 Repeal of the Telecommunications (Section of the Telecommunications Industry) Determination 2007 The Telecommunications (Section of the Telecommunications Industry) Determination 2007 (F2007L01242) is repealed.

5 Definitions In this Determination: public number directory has the meaning given by subsection 285(2) of the Telecommunications Act 1997, as in force from time to time. public number directory publisher has the same meaning as in the Telecommunications Integrated Public Number Database Scheme 2017, as in force from time to time. Note 1: Section 14 of the Legislation Act 2003 allows legislative instruments to make provision in relation to matters by incorporating Acts and disallowable legislative instruments, either as in force at a particular time or as in force from time to time. Note 2: All Commonwealth Acts and legislative instruments are registered on the Federal Register of Legislation.

6 Application of Determination This Determination applies to public number directory publishers.
