1 Name

This instrument is the Social Security (Exempt Lump Sum – South Australia Taxi Industry Assistance Package Payment) Determination 2017.

2 Commencement

(1) Each provision of this instrument specified in column 1 of the table commences, or is taken to have commenced, in accordance with column 2 of the table. Any other statement in column 2 has effect according to its terms.

3 Authority

This instrument is made under paragraph 8(11)(d) of the Social Security Act 1991.

4 Definitions

In this instrument:

Act means the Social Security Act 1991.

Taxi Industry Assistance Package Payment means a one-off lump sum payment made by the South Australian Government Department of Planning, Transport and Infrastructure to either:

(a) the holder of a metropolitan Adelaide taxi licence as at 12 April 2016 – the amount of $30,000 for each eligible taxi licence; or
