Broadcasting Services Local Programming Determination 2018
The Australian Communications and Media Authority makes the following determination under subsection 61CZ(1) of the Broadcasting Services Act 1992.

Part 1—Preliminary
1 Name This is the Broadcasting Services Local Programming Determination 2018.
2 Commencement This determination commences at the start of whichever is the later of the following days: (a) the day after it is registered on the Federal Register of Legislation; or (b) 17 April 2018.
Note 1: The Federal Register of Legislation may be accessed at www.legislation.gov.au.
Note 2: Both of the events referred to in this section must occur before this determination commences.
3 Authority This determination is made under subsection 61CZ(1) of the Broadcasting Services Act 1992.
4 Definitions In this determination: Act means Broadcasting Services Act 1992. file footage means any footage other than: (a) live footage; or (b) footage that has been specifically obtained for the purpose of accompanying the broadcast of the news material in question. licensee means, for a licence to which this determination relates, the holder of the licence. Note: A number of other expressions used in this instrument are defined in the Act, including the following: (a) licence area; (b) licence area plan; (c) regional aggregated commercial television broadcasting licence; (d) regional non-aggregated commercial television broadcasting licence; and (e) timing period.

5 References to other instruments In this determination, unless the contrary intention appears: (a) a reference to any other legislative instrument is a reference to that other legislative instrument as in force from time to time; and (b) a reference to any other kind of instrument is a reference to that other instrument as in force at the commencement of this determination. Note 1: For references to Commonwealth Acts, see section 10 of the Acts Interpretation Act 1901; and see also subsection 13(1) of the Legislation Act 2003 for the application of the Acts Interpretation Act 1901 to legislative instruments. Note 2: All Commonwealth Acts and legislative instruments are registered on the Federal Register of Legislation.
