Health Insurance (Eligible Collection Centres) Approval Amendment (Duration of Approvals) Principles 2018

1 Name This instrument is the Health Insurance (Eligible Collection Centres) Approval Amendment (Duration of Approvals) Principles 2018.
2 Commencement This instrument commences on 1 December 2018.
3 Authority This instrument is made under subsection 23DNBA(4) of the Health Insurance Act 1973.
4 Schedules Each instrument that is specified in a Schedule to this instrument is amended or repealed as set out in the applicable items in the Schedule concerned, and any other item in a Schedule to this instrument has effect according to its terms.
Schedule 1—Amendments
Health Insurance (Eligible Collection Centres) Approval Principles 2010
1 Subsection 6(3) Repeal the subsection, substitute: (3) An approval granted in respect of an application must be expressed to be valid for two years, inclusive of the day of commencement of the approval.
Note: An approval may be revoked or cancelled under the Act.
2 Subsection 6(3A) (including note) Repeal the subsection.
3 Subsection 6(5) Repeal the subsection.
4 Part 4 Transitional Repeal the Part.
Schedule 2—Application
1 Application (1) Despite the amendments made by Schedule 1, section 6 of the Health Insurance (Eligible Collection Centres) Approval Principles 2010, as in force immediately before the commencement of Schedule 1, continues to apply in relation to an application for approval made before that date. (2) For subsection (1): (a) an application made online is taken to be made at the time the applicant uploads it to the website specified in the prescribed form; (b) an application sent by post is taken to be made at the time the applicant posts it to the address specified in the prescribed form; and (c) an application sent by facsimile is taken to be made at the time the applicant dispatches it to the facsimile number specified in the prescribed form.
