1 Name This instrument is the Shipping Registration (International Registration— Minimum Wages and Compensation) Determination 2018.
2 Commencement This instrument commences the day after it is registered.
3 Authority This instrument is made under subsections 61AE(3) and 61AM(2) of the Shipping Registration Act 1981.
4 Definitions Note: A number of expressions used in this instrument are defined in the Shipping Registration Act 1981, including the following: (a) International Register; (b) ITF template agreement; (c) owner; (d) seafarer; (e) ship. In this instrument: Act means the Shipping Registration Act 1981. senior officer means a seafarer performing the work of master, chief officer, chief engineer or first engineer.
5 Amount of wages For the purposes of subsection 61AE(3) of the Act, the amount of wages of a seafarer performing the work of a classification mentioned in column 1 of an item of the following table is the amount mentioned in column 2 of the item.
