Indian Ocean Territories Administration Values and Code of Conduct 2018

I, Karly Pidgeon, General Manager of the Indian Ocean Territories Branch, a delegate of the Minister for Regional Development, Territories, and Local Government for the purposes of subsection 11(1) of the Administration Ordinance 1968 (CI) and paragraph 10(1)(b) of the Administration Ordinance 1975 (CKI) make the following determination.

1 Name This determination is the Indian Ocean Territories Administration Values and Code of Conduct 2018.

2 Commencement (1) This determination commences on 3 April 2018. (2) The Christmas Island Administration Determination 2001/2 is revoked.

3 Authority This determination is made under subsection 11(1) of the Administration Ordinance 1968 (CI) and paragraph 10(1)(b) of the Administration Ordinance 1975 (CKI).

5 Interpretation In this notice: Administration means the Indian Ocean Territories Administration. Administration employee means a person employed under: (i) subsection 11(1) of the Administration Ordinance 1968 (CI); (ii) paragraph 10(1)(a) of the Administration Ordinance 1975 (CKI) Indian Ocean Territories Administration Values means the values in Schedule 1. Indian Ocean Territories Administration Code of Conduct means the rules in Schedule 2.

6 Application This determination applies to all Administration employees.

7 Term of Employment All employees are required to uphold the Indian Ocean Territories Administration Values and Code of Conduct 2018.
