1 Name This instrument is the Agricultural and Veterinary Chemicals Code (Notifiable Variations) Instrument 2019.

2 Commencement This instrument commences on the day after the day it is registered.

3 Authority This instrument is made under subsection 26AB(5) of the Agricultural and Veterinary Chemicals Code, as scheduled to the Agricultural and Veterinary Chemicals Code Act 1994.

4 Definitions Note: A number of expressions used in this instrument are defined in Part 1, Division 1 of the Code, including the following: (a) active constituent; (b) agricultural chemical product; (c) chemical product; (d) instruction; (e) notifiable variation; (f) Register; (g) relevant particulars; (h) variations; (i) veterinary chemical product. In this instrument: Agricultural Labelling Code means the Agricultural Labelling Code made by the APVMA, as in force from time to time. Code means the Agricultural and Veterinary Chemicals Code, as scheduled to the Agricultural and Veterinary Chemicals Code Act 1994. FAISD Handbook means the document entitled Handbook of First Aid Instructions, Safety Directions, Warning Statements and General Safety Precautions for Agricultural and Veterinary Chemicals, published by the Office of Chemical Safety in the Therapeutic Goods Administration of the Department of Health, as in force from time to time. interchangeable constituent determination means that term as defined in the Regulations. Regulations means the Agricultural and Veterinary Chemicals Code Regulations 1995 and a reference to subregulations and paragraphs has a corresponding meaning. Veterinary Labelling Code means the Veterinary Labelling Code made by the APVMA, as in force from time to time.
