Part 1 Preliminary

1 Name This instrument is the Health Insurance (Section 19AB Exemptions Guidelines) Determination 2019.

2 Commencement This instrument commences on 1 July 2019.

3 Authority This instrument is made under subsection 19AB(4B) of the Health Insurance Act 1973.

4 Definitions and interpretation (1) In this instrument:

Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander specific primary health care service means a health service that is funded principally to provide medical services to a predominantly Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander population and in respect of which a direction under subsection 19(2) of the Act is in force.
