1 Name This instrument is Defence Determination (Prohibited Substances – Authorised Persons) 2019/2.
2 Commencement This instrument commences on the day after registration.
3 Authority This instrument is made under section 93A of the Defence Act 1903.
4 Repeals This instrument repeals Defence Determination (Prohibited Substances – Authorised Persons) 2019/1, signed 21 March 2019.
5 Authorised persons 1. The following persons are authorised persons:
a) Vice Chief of the Defence Force;
b) Chief Joint Operations;
c) Deputy Chief Joint Operations;
d) A Commander of a Joint Task Force holding a rank specified at item 5 of the table in subsection 1(1) of Schedule 1 to the Defence Act 1903.
2. The following persons are authorised persons for the purposes of a member in the Royal Australian Navy:
a) Chief of Navy;
b) Deputy Chief of Navy;
c) Director General Navy People;
d) Commander Australian Fleet;
e) Head Navy People Training and Resources;
f) Commodore Training;
g) Commander Surface Force;
h) Commander Fleet Air Arm;
