1 Name This instrument is the Aged Care Legislation Amendment (New Commissioner Functions) (Transitional Provisions) Rules 2019.
2 Commencement (1) Each provision of this instrument specified in column 1 of the table commences, or is taken to have commenced, in accordance with column 2 of the table. Any other statement in column 2 has effect according to its terms.

3 Authority This instrument is made under the Aged Care Legislation Amendment (New Commissioner Functions) Act 2019.
4 Definitions In this instrument: Act means the Aged Care Legislation Amendment (New Commissioner Functions) Act 2019. aged care service has the same meaning as in the Aged Care Act 1997.
5 Saving of approval of approved providers—specified entity For the purposes of subparagraph (1)(b)(ii) of item 2 of Schedule 4 to the Act, an entity that proposes to conduct an aged care service is specified.
