1 Name This instrument is the Private Health Insurance (Notifications Under the Premiums Reduction Scheme) Determination 2020.
2 Commencement This instrument commences on the day after it is registered.
3 Authority This instrument is made under subsection 23-15(2) and subsection 23-30(2) of the Private Health Insurance Act 2007.
4 Repeal The Private Health Insurance (Notifications Under the Premiums Reduction Scheme) Determination 2013 is repealed.
5 Registration as Participant For the purposes of subsection 23-15(2) of the Private Health Insurance Act 2007, a private health insurer that receives an application by a person to become a participant in the premiums reduction scheme must notify the Chief Executive Medicare of the application, in the approved form, no more than 7 business days after receiving the application.
6 Withdrawal as Participant For the purposes of subsection 23-30(2) of the Private Health Insurance Act 2007, a private health insurer that receives a notice that a person no longer wishes to be registered in respect of a policy must notify the Chief Executive Medicare of the notice, in the approved form, no more than 7 business days after receiving the notice.
