1 Name This Instrument is the Autonomous Sanctions (Classes of Sanctioned Vessels – Democratic People's Republic of Korea) Continuing Effect Declaration 2020.
2 Commencement This Instrument commences on the day after it is registered.
3 Authority This Instrument is made under subregulation 9(3) of the Autonomous Sanctions Regulations 2011.
4 Definitions In this Instrument:
DPRK means the Democratic People's Republic of Korea.
DPRK vessel class has the same meaning as in the Autonomous Sanctions (Classes of Sanctioned Vessels – Democratic People's Republic of Korea) Designation 2017.
sanctioned vessel means a vessel designated under regulation 8 of the Autonomous Sanctions Regulations 2011.
vessel has the same meaning as in the Autonomous Sanctions (Classes of Sanctioned Vessels – Democratic People's Republic of Korea) Designation 2017.
5 Designation to continue to have effect For subregulation 9(3) of the Autonomous Sanctions Regulations 2011, the designation of each vessel within the DPRK vessel class as a sanctioned vessel for the DPRK in the Autonomous Sanctions (Classes of Sanctioned Vessels – Democratic People's Republic of Korea) Designation 2017 is declared to continue to have effect. Note: Subregulation 9(1) of the Autonomous Sanctions Regulations 2011 (the Regulations) provide that designations under paragraph 8(1)(b) of the Regulations cease to have effect on the third anniversary of the day on which the designation took effect (if no declaration under subregulation 9(3) has been made in relation to the designation) or, otherwise, the third anniversary of the making of the most recent declaration in relation to the designation.
