1 Name This instrument is the Defence Determination, Conditions of service Amendment (Overseas education assistance) Determination 2020 (No. 26).
2 Commencement This instrument commences on 7 January 2021.
3 Authority This instrument is made under section 58B of the Defence Act 1903.
4 Schedules Each instrument that is specified in a Schedule to this instrument is amended or repealed as set out in the applicable items in the Schedule concerned, and any other item in a Schedule to this instrument has effect
Schedule 1—Overseas education assistance amendments
Defence Determination 2016/19, Conditions of service 1 Section 12.3.9 (Long-term overseas posting) After the section, insert:
12.3.9A Most economic means Most economic means the most efficient, practical and appropriate means of travel in terms of having regard to, but not limited to, the following. a. The cost of the travel. b. The availability of the travel. c. The total travel time. 2 Section 12.3.15 (Posting location) Omit the section, substitute:
