Part 1—Preliminary
1 Name This instrument is the Telecommunications (Regional Broadband Scheme–Contracts and Grants Rules) Determination 2022.
2 Commencement (1) Each provision of this instrument specified in column 1 of the table commences, or is taken to have commenced, in accordance with column 2 of the table. Any other statement in column 2 has effect according to its terms.

3 Authority This instrument is made under subsection 87 (1) of the Telecommunications (Consumer Protection and Service Standards) Act 1999. Note 1: Subsection 87 (1) of the Act provides that the Minister may, by legislative instrument, make rules to be complied with by the Secretary in relation to the performance of the Secretary's functions, or the exercise of the Secretary's powers, under Division 2 of Part 3 of the Act. One of the powers relates to entering into a contract with an eligible funding recipient for various purposes: refer section 80 of the Act. Note 2: Subsection 87 (2) of the Act provides that the Secretary must comply with any rules in force under subsection (1).
