1 Name This instrument is the Mutual Recognition (Victoria) (Exemptions—Building Surveyor and Plumbing Occupations) Declaration 2022.
2 Commencement (1) Each provision of this instrument specified in column 1 of the table commences, or is taken to have commenced, in accordance with column 2 of the table. Any other statement in column 2 has effect according to its terms.

3 Authority This instrument is made under section 42S(1) of the Mutual Recognition Act 1992.
4 Definitions In this instrument: Act means the Mutual Recognition Act 1992 of the Commonwealth.
5 Exemptions (1) For the purpose of section 42S(1) of the Act, the following registrations or licences are excluded from the operation of automatic deemed recognition in Victoria: 1. a person who is a registered building practitioner under Part 11 of the Building Act 1993 (Vic) in the class of building surveyor; 2. a person who is a licensed plumber under Part 12A of the Building Act 1993 (Vic); 3. a person who is a registered plumber under Part 12A of the Building Act 1993 (Vic) who is registered in any of the following classes of plumbing work specified in Part 4 or Part 5 of the Plumbing Regulations 2018: (i) Gasfitting (ii) Type A appliance conversion (iii) Type A appliance servicing (iv) Type B gasfitting (v) Type B gasfitting advanced (vi) Fire protection (vii) Roofing (stormwater) (viii) Mechanical services
