1 Name This instrument is the Industry Research and Development (Australia-India Critical Minerals Investment Partnership Program) Instrument 2022.
2 Commencement (1) Each provision of this instrument specified in column 1 of the table commences, or is taken to have commenced, in accordance with column 2 of the table. Any other statement in column 2 has effect according to its terms.

3 Authority This instrument is made under section 33 of the Industry Research and Development Act 1986.
4 Definitions In this instrument: Act means the Industry Research and Development Act 1986. program: see subsection 5(1).
5 Prescribed program (1) For the purposes of subsection 33(1) of the Act, the Australia-India Critical Minerals Investment Partnership Program (the program) is prescribed. (2) The program funds the following activities to support the purpose of the program: (a) procuring and paying for the services of third-party advisers to perform project selection and due diligence assessments of critical minerals projects, and for associated services and activities; (b) otherwise supporting any investment arrangement that might be entered into relating to critical minerals projects by the Commonwealth. (3) The purpose of the program is to promote and further the ongoing relationship between the Commonwealth and the Government of India through investment in critical minerals.
