Statutory Requirements Certificate – United States of America and the Agreement between the Government of Australia and the Government of the United States of America on Access to Electronic Data for the Purpose of Countering Serious Crime
I, Michaelia Cash, Attorney-General, having consulted the Minister for Home Affairs and the Minister for Foreign Affairs, issue this certificate under clause 3B of Schedule 1 to the Telecommunications (Interception and Access) Act 1979 (the Act) in relation to the United States of America and the Agreement between the Government of Australia and the Government of the United States of America on Access to Electronic Data for the Purpose of Countering Serious Crime (the Agreement). I am satisfied that each of the requirements set out in subclause 3B(4) of Schedule 1 to the Act are met with respect to the United States and the Agreement. This instrument commences and enters into force on the day it is made.
