Australian Prudential Regulation Authority –Chair, Deputy Chair and Full-time Members Appointment and Reappointment (No. 1) 2022
I, General the Honourable David Hurley AC DSC (Retd), Governor‑General of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, and under subsections 16(2), 18(1) and 18(2) of the Australian Prudential Regulation Authority Act 1998: (a) appoint John Lonsdale PSM to be the Chair of the Australian Prudential Regulation Authority (APRA) for a period of five years beginning on 31 October 2022; (b) reappoint John Lonsdale PSM to be a full-time member of APRA beginning on 8 October 2023 until 30 October 2027; (c) appoint Margaret Cole to be a Deputy Chair of APRA beginning on 31 October 2022 until 30 June 2026; and (d) appoint Therese McCarthy Hockey and Suzanne Smith to be full-time members of APRA each for a period of five years beginning on 31 October 2022.
