1 Name This instrument is the Cocos (Keeling) Islands Applied Laws Amendment (Fish Resources Management) Rules 2023.
2 Commencement This instrument commences on the day after this instrument is registered.
3 Authority This instrument is made under section 4 of the Cocos (Keeling) Islands Applied Laws Ordinance 1992.
4 Schedules Each instrument that is specified in a Schedule to this instrument is amended or repealed as set out in the applicable items in the Schedule concerned, and any other item in a Schedule to this instrument has effect according to its terms.
Schedule 1—Amendments
Cocos (Keeling) Islands Applied Laws Ordinance 1992
1 Item 16 of Part 15A of Schedule 1 (subregulation 64AB(4)) Omit "lots 341 and 348 on Deposited Plan 42274", substitute "the land within Reserve No. 47727".
2 Item 38 of Part 15A of Schedule 1 (clause 1 of Schedule 2A) Repeal the clause, substitute:
1 Humphead Maori Wrasse closure area The area of waters closed to fishing for Humphead Maori Wrasse (Ikan Hijau) is the area bounded by the line described in item 1 of the following table and running sequentially as described in the table.
