1 Name This instrument is the Defence (Individual benefits) Determination 2024 (No. 1).
2 Commencement
This Determination commences on the day after registration on the Federal Register of Legislation.
3 Authority This instrument is made under section 58B of the Defence Act 1903.
4 Application This Determination applies to the member who holds employee identification number 8265233.
5 Definitions Defence Determination means Defence Determination 2016/19, Conditions of service, as in force from time to time. Period of eligibility means the period starting and ending on the following dates. 1. Starting 11 December 2023. 2. Ending 18 January 2026.
6 Accommodation costs 1. The member is eligible for accommodation costs incurred for each of their children up to the maximum set out in subsection 2 for the period of eligibility. 2. The maximum amount payable for accommodation costs per child, per year, is the lesser of the rate specified in paragraph 15.6.27.2.a of the Defence Determination. 3. The member is not eligible for benefit provided by section 15.6.27 of the Defence Determination during the period of eligibility.
7 Contribution The member must pay the contribution specified in paragraph 15.6.27.3.a of the Defence Determination towards the cost of accommodation provided under this Determination per child, per year.
