1 Name This instrument is the Legislation (Deferral of Sunsetting—Migration Agents Instruments) Certificate 2024.
2 Commencement (1) Each provision of this instrument specified in column 1 of the table commences, or is taken to have commenced, in accordance with column 2 of the table. Any other statement in column 2 has effect according to its terms.

3 Authority This instrument is made under paragraph 51(1)(c) of the Legislation Act 2003.
4 Deferral of sunsetting The following instruments, for which the sunsetting day is 1 April 2024, are repealed by section 51 of the Legislation Act 2003 on 1 April 2026: (a) Migration Agents (IMMI 17/047: CPD Activities, Approval of CPD Providers and CPD Provider Standards) Instrument 2017; (b) Migration Agents Registration Application Charge Regulations 1998; (c) Migration Agents Regulations 1998; (d) Migration (IMMI 18/003: Specified courses and exams for registration as a migration agent) Instrument 2018. Note: The Legislation (Migration Agents Instruments) Sunset‑altering Declaration 2019 declared the sunsetting day of 1 April 2024 for the above instruments.
