1 Name This instrument is the Social Security (Exempt Lump Sum) (HILDA Survey Respondent Incentive Payment) Determination 2024.
2 Commencement This instrument commences on the day after the instrument is registered on the Federal Register of Legislation.
3 Authority This instrument is made under paragraph 8(11)(d) of the Social Security Act 1991.
4 Definitions In this instrument: Act means the Social Security Act 1991.
HILDA Survey means the Household, Income and Labour Dynamics in Australia survey. respondent incentive payment means a payment to a person for their participation in the HILDA Survey.
5 Schedules Each instrument that is specified in a Schedule to this instrument is amended or repealed as set out in the applicable items in the Schedule concerned, and any other item in a Schedule to this instrument has effect according to its terms.
6 Exempt Lump Sum For the purposes of the Act, a respondent incentive payment is an exempt lump sum under paragraph 8(11)(d) of the Act.
