1 Name This instrument is the Southern Bluefin Tuna Fishery (Australia's National Catch Allocation) Determination 2024.
2 Commencement This instrument commences on 1 December 2024.
3 Cessation This instrument ceases on 30 November 2025.
4 Authority This instrument is made pursuant to paragraph 17(6)(aa) of the Fisheries Management Act 1991 and under subclause 17.2 of the Southern Bluefin Tuna Fishery Management Plan 1995.
5 Definitions Note: A number of expressions used in this instrument are defined in clause 3 of the Management Plan, including the following: 1. SBT Fishery;and 2. Season. In this instrument: Act means the Fisheries Management Act 1991. Management Plan means the Southern Bluefin Tuna Fishery Management Plan 1995.
6 Determination of Australia's national catch allocation Australia's national catch allocation for the fishing season in the Southern Bluefin Tuna Fishery that commences on 1 December 2024 and ends on 30 November 2025 is 6,930,250 kilograms.
