1 Name This instrument is the Migration (ANZSCO Definition) Specification 2024.
2 Commencement This instrument commences on 7 December 2024.
3 Authority This instrument is made under regulation 1.03 of the Migration Regulations 1994.
4 Definitions In this instrument: Regulations means the Migration Regulations 1994.
5 Schedules Each instrument that is specified in a Schedule to this instrument is amended or repealed as set out in the applicable items in the Schedule concerned, and any other item in a Schedule to this instrument has effect according to its terms.
6 Definition of ANZSCO (1) For the purposes of the definition of ANZSCO in regulation 1.03 of the Regulations, ANZSCO has the meaning given by subsections (2) and (3). (2) Subject to subsection (3), ANZSCO means the Australian and New Zealand Standard Classification of Occupations published by the Australian Bureau of Statistics, as in force on 27 June 2013. (3) For the following provisions of the Regulations, ANZSCO means the Australian and New Zealand Standard Classification of Occupations published by the Australian Bureau of Statistics, as in force on 23 November 2022: (a) regulation 2.72; (b) regulation 2.73; (c) subregulation 5.19(5).
