1. Name 1.1. This instrument is the Vehicle Standard (Australian Design Rule 72/00 – Dynamic Side Impact Occupant Protection) 2005 Amendment 1. 1.2. This instrument may also be cited as the Australian Design Rule 72/00 – Dynamic Side Impact Occupant Protection Amendment 1

2. Commencement 2.1. This instrument commences on the day after it is registered.

3. Authority 3.1. This instrument is made under section 12 of the Road Vehicle Standards Act 2018.

4. Schedule 4.1. The instrument specified in the Schedule to this instrument is amended as set out in the applicable items in the Schedule.

Schedule – Amendments

Vehicle Standard (Australian Design Rule 72/00 – Dynamic Side Impact Occupant Protection) 2005 1. Clause 3.1.1, omit "3.2", substitute "3.3". 2. Clause 3.2, renumber as clause 3.3. 3. Insert a new clause 3.2 to read:

"3.2. Vehicles certified to comply with the Australian Design Rule 72/01 – Dynamic Side Impact Occupant Protection, or a later version, are not required to comply with this rule."
