1 Name and commencement (1) This instrument is Type Ratings Excluded from Part 142 Flight Training (Edition 8) Instrument 2025. (2) This instrument commences on the commencement of Part 61 Flight Crew Licensing (Prescribed Aircraft and Type Ratings) (Edition 10) Instrument 2025.
2 Repeal Type Ratings Excluded from Part 142 Flight Training (Edition 7) Instrument 2023 is repealed. Note The instrument mentioned in section 2 was assigned the FRL number F2023L00419.
3 Interpretation Note In this instrument, certain terms and expressions have the same meaning as they have in the Civil Aviation Act 1988 and the regulations. These include: CASR, differences training, model and variant. (1) In this instrument: AYT means auto yaw trim. cell, for a column of a table in Schedule 1 to this instrument, means each individual, undivided unit (regardless of its size) into which the column is subdivided. CPDS means centre panel display system. DTR means differences training required. FE, at the end of a type rating designation, means flight engineer. SP, at the end of a type rating designation, means single pilot. TF means tactile feedback. (2) Column 1 of a table in Schedule 1 to this instrument is for general information only and is not intended to qualify or otherwise affect the meaning or operation of anything else in the Schedule.
