1 Name This instrument is the Defence (Security authorised member of the Defence Force—Training and qualification requirements for Identification and Search Wardens) Determination 2025.

2 Commencement This instrument commences on the day after this instrument is registered.

3 Authority This instrument is made under subsection 71C(4) of the Defence Act 1903.

4 Definitions In this instrument: Act means the Defence Act 1903. security authorised member of the Defence Force has the same meaning given by section 71 of the Act.

5 Training requirements 1. This section sets out the training requirements a person must satisfy to be a security authorised member of the Defence Force who is an Identification and Search Warden. 2. The person must have successfully completed the Security Authorised Members of the Defence Force – Identification and Search Warden Course. 3. The person must successfully complete annual refresher training comprising: (a) Defence Security Official – Roles and Responsibilities (Module 1); (b) Defence Annual Security Awareness; and (c) Operational Safety Training recertification including scenario based training to test the practical application of powers exercisable by a security authorised member of the Defence Force who is an Identification and Search Warden.
