(2) The respondent's team leader used personal information in the certificate between July and October 2019 contrary to section 17 of the Privacy and Personal Information Protection Act 1998, by taking it into account when selecting a candidate for appointment to the role of acting head teacher. (3) The team leader's manager did not authorise that use, and did not participate in any breach of section 17, by expressing an opinion on 15 December 2021.
