REASONS FOR JUDGMENT
Background 1. On 25 August 2023 the Newcastle Local Court made an apprehended personal violence order (APVO) against Ms Melise Bird (the 'appellant'). The APVO was made on application brought by Ms Lynn Redman (the 'respondent'). 2. The appellant now appeals the APVO, and she does so pursuant to s 84(2) of the Crimes (Domestic and Personal Violence) Act 2007 (NSW).
