DIRECTIONS OF THE FULL BENCH
(extempore)
[2006] NSWIRComm 42
1 The Full Bench has considered the submissions made by the parties and feels obliged to note that we have found little assistance provided by those submissions.
2 In the circumstances we have decided to make the following directions:
(a) by 4 pm on Monday 13 February 2006 the parties shall file and serve their contentions as to their proposed six grade structure (in the case of the union as to the first six grades of its proposed eight grade structure) and the rates of pay applicable thereto, making reference where appropriate to the wage fixing principles relied on and shall also, to the extent available, file and serve any documentation that has been developed as to their respective proposed classification structures.
(b) the parties shall file and serve their witness statements on or before 10 am on Monday 20 February 2006.
3 The matter is stood over for further directions at 4 pm on Tuesday 21 February 2006 and one hour will be allowed for the directions that day.
4 The parties should, however, act on the basis that although no directions will be made until that time for the filing and serving of material in reply, time will run for the preparation of such material from 10 am on 20 February and the relevant time for filing and serving reply material may be Friday 24 February at 4 pm.
5 It is implicit in these directions that the Commission is acting on the basis that claims other than as to classification structure and wages are not the subject of the hearings presently set down.
