Judgment 1. HIS HONOUR: Jing Wang applies for bail. He was arrested on 27 March 2018 and subsequently charged with a series of offences including: 1. Two counts of aggravated indecent assault contrary to s 61M(1) of the Crimes Act 1900. This offence carries a maximum penalty of imprisonment for 7 years and a standard non-parole period of 5 years. 2. Six counts of aggravated sexual assault in company contrary to s 61JA(1) of the Crimes Act. This offence carries a maximum penalty of life imprisonment and a standard non-parole period of 15 years. 3. Two counts of sexual intercourse without consent contrary to s 61I of the Crimes Act. This offence carries a maximum penalty of 14 years with a standard non-parole period of 7 years. 4. One count of attempted sexual intercourse without consent contrary to s 61I of the Crimes Act. This offence carries a maximum penalty of 14 years with a standard non-parole period of 7 years. 1. Mr Wang has been in custody bail refused since the date of his arrest.
