sentence 1. AC, 51 years of age, appears for sentence in relation to two offences of indecent assault with person aged under ten years pursuant to s 61M(2) of the Crimes Act. The offending occurred between 2003 and 2005. The offender is the victim's stepfather. The maximum prescribed penalty in respect of each offence is ten years imprisonment. The prescribed standard non parole period as at the date of the offending was five years. 2. The offender pleaded guilty at the Wyong Local Court on 5 February 2019. Having regard to the timing of the plea, I propose to allow discount on sentence of 25%. The offender has spent no time in custody in relation to the offending.
