City Tattersall's Club Act Amendment Act 1936 (Private Act)
An Act to amend the City Tattersall's Club Act of 1912, by conferring upon the Committee of City Tattersall's Club certain powers of leasing without the necessity of obtaining the sanction thereto of a Special General Meeting.
Preamble WHEREAS an Act of Parliament entitled City Tattersall's Club Act of 1912 (hereinafter called the Principal Act) was passed in the year one thousand nine hundred and twelve for the purpose of resolving certain doubts which had arisen as to whether the objects of the Club and the powers of the Committee and members thereof were sufficiently defined by the rules and as to the method by which such rules might be legally altered or supplemented so as to bind all the members of the Club without the express consent thereto of each member AND WHEREAS it was provided by the Principal Act that it should be lawful for the Committee for the time being of the Club in the name of the Chairman from time to time on behalf of and for the purposes of the Club amongst other things to grant leases for any term of the lands tenements and hereditaments, real or personal, of the Club or any portion thereof Provided that no such leasing of the said lands tenements and hereditaments should be made without the consent of the majority of a Special General Meeting of the Club called to consider such proposed leasing AND WHEREAS it is expedient to amend the provision requiring that any such leasing shall be made only with such consent as aforesaid: Be it therefore enacted by the King's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and Legislative Assembly of New South Wales in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
1 Name of Act This Act may be cited as the City Tattersall's Club Act Amendment Act 1936 and shall be read and construed with the Principal Act.
