Trades Hall (Transfer of Land) Act 1970 No 54
An Act to authorise the transfer of certain land from trustees appointed by the Governor to a body corporate; to remove certain restrictions on the use of the land; to provide for the repeal of the Trades Hall and Literary Institute Act of 1893; and for purposes connected therewith.
1 Name of Act This Act may be cited as the Trades Hall (Transfer of Land) Act 1970.
2 Registrar-General may register certain memorandum of transfer (1) The persons specified in a certificate furnished by the Minister for the purposes of this section shall be deemed to have full power and authority to transfer to The Trades and Industrial Hall and Literary Institute Association of Sydney Limited the land described in the Schedule to this Act. (2) Where a memorandum of transfer of the land described in the Schedule to this Act to The Trades and Industrial Hall and Literary Institute Association of Sydney Limited is lodged with the Registrar-General for registration, the Registrar-General shall not be concerned to enquire whether, or be affected by notice of the fact that: (a) the memorandum of transfer is required to be executed by any person in lieu of the persons specified in a certificate furnished by the Minister pursuant to subsection one of this section, (b) the memorandum of transfer is a dealing the registration of which is prohibited by caveat number 377701, caveat number 535255 or caveat number B379304, (c) any case has arisen for forfeiture, reverter or reentry in respect of the land comprised in certificate of title volume 2619 folio 69, or (d) the memorandum of transfer is a dealing in breach of any trust, condition, proviso or reservation (not being a reservation of minerals) created or imposed by grant from the Crown volume 761 folio 123, and may register the memorandum of transfer notwithstanding any such notice.
