1 Name of Order This Order is the Contract Cleaning Industry (Portable Long Service Leave Scheme) (Cleaning Work) Order 2022.
2 Commencement This Order commences on 1 September 2022 and is required to be published on the NSW legislation website.
3 Definition In this Order— the Act means the Contract Cleaning Industry (Portable Long Service Leave Scheme) Act 2010.
Note— The Act and the Interpretation Act 1987 contain definitions and other provisions that affect the interpretation and application of this Order.
4 Declaration—cleaning work For the Act, section 8(1)(d), the following work or activities are declared to be cleaning work— (a) the collection or removal of rubbish on or adjacent to premises, (b) the making of a bed, including stripping the bed, removing the linen and fitting the bed with fresh linen, (c) the cleaning of a bathroom, including cleaning a toilet, bath, shower or washbasin and removing linen from a bathroom, (d) the cleaning of kitchen appliances, kitchenware or tableware, (e) the cleaning or dusting of surfaces, including floors.
