Ure dom An Act to enable the Trustees of the Mus- Assocnon Lewes wellbrook Recreation Reserve to Lease ~~ a portion thereof. [2nd August, 1875.]
Preamble. Ay HEREAS a parcel of Crown land situate on the Muswellbrook Creek at Muswellbrook containing about forty-six acres has been in pursuance of the " Crown Lands Alienation Act of 1861" duly dedicated to a public purpose namely for public recreation and the Municipal Council of Muswellbrook have beer. by proclamation duly appointed trustces of such land for that purpose And whereas there is an Association in the district of Muswellbrook aforesaid called the " Upper Hunter Pastoral and Agricultural Assoviation" formed for the purpose of (among other things) periodically holding public exhi- bitions and shows of stock and implements Ard it would be of great advantage to the district that the portion of the said land described in the Schedule to this Act should be placed at tie disposal of the said Association but that object cannot be effected without the sanction of the Legislature Be it therefore enacted by the Queen's Most Excellent Majesty by and with the advice anc. consent of the Legis- lative Council and Legislative Assembly of New South Wales in Parliament assembled and by the authority of she same as follows :— Power to leaso ce. 1. It shall be lawful for the Municipal Council of Muswellbrook by an indenture of lease to demise to any three persons hereinafter called trustees their executors administrators ar.d assigns the piece of land in the Schedule to this Act described being a portion of the said Crown land so as aforesaid dedicated for the term of ninety-nine years from the day of the date of such lease < the annual rent' of one shilling to be by such persons held in trust for the said Associ- ation called the " Upper Iuntcr Pastoral and Ag :icultural Association" and for any Association established in substitution for the same whether under the same or any other name to be used by the said Association or such substituted Association for the purposes of any shows or exhibitions held by them Such lease shall be executed by being sealed with the corporate seal of the Municipality by the direction and in the presence of a quorum of the said Municipal Council present at any meeting duly convened and be attested by the Clerk of the said Council for the time being.
