SUTHERLAND SHIRE (GANNONS ROAD SPORTS GROUND) ACT.
An Act to authorise The Council of the Shire Bizabeth I of Sutherland to convey and _ transfer certain Jands within the said Shire in exchange for certain other lands; and for
purposes connected therewith. [Assented to, 28th March, 1952.)
y HEREAS on the Fourteenth day of October One thousand nine hundred and twenty-two The Council
of the Shire of Sutherland entered into a Contract for the purchase of Lots 19 and 25 on Deposited Plan Number 5345 situate at Caringbah within the said Shire: And whereas such purchase was duly completed by transfer and the said land became vested in the said Council in fee simple for the purposes of a public reserve: And whereas The Commissioner for Railways acquired 1 acre 3 roods 2734 perches of the said land for the purpose of

of the Sutherland to Cronulla Railway and such land was transferred to The Commissioner for Railways by transfer Number ©.950723 thereby severing those portions of the said lots 19 and 25 on Deposited Plan Number 5345 lying to the north of the said Railway from those lying to the south of the said Railway: And whereas The Commissioner for Railways dedicated portion of the said acquired land as a public highway known as Denman Avenue: And whereas those portions of the said Lots lying to the north of Denman Avenue aforesaid were thereupon rendered unusable for public reereation: And whereas Lot 26 on Deposited Plan Number 5345 containing 3 acres immediately adjoins on the north those portions of Lots 19 and 25 aforesaid lying to the north of the said Denman Avenue and is vested in Douglas Frederick John Burrell and Douglas Neville Burrell both of Cronulla Laundrymen for an estate in fee simple as joint tenants: And whereas The Council of the Shire of Sutherland is desirous of acquiring the said Lot 26 on Deposited Plan Number 5345 for the purpose of a public reserve and recreation space: And whereas the said Douglas I'rederick John Burrell and Douglas Neville Burrell are willing to transfer to the said Council the said Lot 26 in exchange for a transfer to the said Douglas Frederick John Burrell of the said portions of Lots 19 -and 25 aforesaid lying to the north of the said Denman Avenue: And whereas the said Council has no authority under the Local Government Act 1919, as amended by subsequent Acts, to sell and convey any part of a public reserve: And whereas it is expedient to authorise the 'said Council to convey and transfer the said portions of Lots 19 and 25, aforesaid lying to the north of the said Denman Avenue on Deposited Plan Number 5345 to the said Douglas Frederick John Burrell in exchange for the said Lot 26 on the said Deposited Plan: Be it therefore enacted by the Queen's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and Leyislative Assembly of New South Wales in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
