An Act to enable the Council of the Municipality of Hurstville to sell certain lands adjoining Wolli Creek, Kingsgrove and transfer the same free of all trusts affecting such lands; to amend the Local Government Act, 1919; and for purposes

connected therewith. [Assented to, 8th May, 1973.]

WHEREAS :

The Council of the Municipality of Hurstville (hereinafter referred to as "the Council") is the registered proprietor in fee simple of certain lands adjoining Wolli Creek, Kingsgrove containing 750 square metres and being the whole of the land comprised in Certificate of Title Volume 10192 Folio 47:

The Council holds the lands subject to the provisions of section 340A of the Local Government Act, 1919, for the purposes of public garden and recreation space :

The said lands are no longer suitable for, and are not in fact used by, the public for public garden and recreation space :

The said lands have been valued at $6,500.00 :

The Council has by Contracts of Sale bearing date the Twelfth day of March One thousand nine hundred and seventy-three agreed to sell part of the said lands (being the land described in the First Schedule hereto) to Associated Steamships Pty. Limited of 339 George Street, Sydney, for the sum of $5,335.00 and the remainder of the said lands (being the land described in the Second Schedule hereto) to Girin Limited of 111 Charles Street, Prahran, Victoria, for the sum of $1,165.00:
