Research Involving Human Embryos and Prohibition of Human Cloning for Reproduction Regulation 2015
1 Short title This regulation may be cited as the Research Involving Human Embryos and Prohibition of Human Cloning for Reproduction Regulation 2015.
2 Prescribed accrediting entity For the Act, section 21, definition accredited ART centre, the Reproductive Technology Accreditation Committee of the Fertility Society of Australia ACN 006 214 115 is a prescribed entity.
3 Prescribed guidelines (1) This section prescribes guidelines issued by the NHMRC under the National Health and Medical Research Council Act 1992 (Cwlth) for the following provisions of the Act— (a) section 21, definition proper consent; (b) section 29(4)(c); (c) the schedule, definition unsuitable for implantation, paragraph (b). (2) The following guidelines are prescribed— (a) 'Ethical guidelines on the use of Assisted Reproductive Technology in clinical practice and research'; (b) 'National Statement on Ethical Conduct in Human Research'. 4 Repeal The Research Involving Human Embryos and Prohibition of Human Cloning Regulation 2003, SL No. 308 is repealed.
