Civil Liability Indexation Notice 2024

1 Short title This notice may be cited as the Civil Liability Indexation Notice 2024.

2 Commencement This notice commences on 1 July 2024.

3 Fixed amount of damages for loss of consortium or loss of servitium— Act , s 58 For section 58(1)(b) of the Act, the fixed amount, for the 2024–2025 financial year, is $54,850.

4 Fixed amounts for the calculation of general damages— Act , s 62 (1) For section 62(2)(a) of the Act, the base amount (if any) stated in column 2 of the following table is fixed, for the 2024–2025 financial year, for the injury scale value stated opposite in column 1 of the table. (2) For section 62(2)(b) and (3) of the Act, the variable amount for the injury scale value stated in column 1 of the following table is to be worked out, for the 2024–2025 financial year, in the way stated opposite in column 3 of the table.
