Part 1 Preliminary
1 Short title This regulation may be cited as the Disaster Management Regulation 2014.
Part 2 Disaster management groups—membership and other matters
2 Members of QDMC— Act , s 19 For section 19(1)(a) of the Act, the following persons are members of the QDMC— (a) the Premier; (b) the Minister administering the Act; (c) the Ministers administering the following Acts— (i) the Ambulance Service Act 1991; (ii) the Building Act 1975; (iii) the Community Services Act 2007; (iv) the Economic Development Act 2012; (v) the Education (General Provisions) Act 2006; (vi) the Electricity Act 1994; (vii) the Financial Accountability Act 2009; (viii) the Fire Services Act 1990; (ix) the Gas Supply Act 2003; (x) the Housing Act 2003; (xi) the Local Government Act 2009; (xii) the Planning Act 2016; (xiii) the Public Health Act 2005; (xiv) the Public Safety Preservation Act 1986; (xv) the Queensland Reconstruction Authority Act 2011; (xvi) the Transport Operations (Road Use Management) Act 1995; (xvii) the Water Supply (Safety and Reliability) Act 2008.
3 Persons to assist or carry out other activities relating to the State group— Act , s 19A (1) For section 19A(1)(a) of the Act, the following persons are to assist the QDMC in carrying out its functions— (a) the chief executives of the departments in which the following Acts are administered— (i) the Building Act 1975; (ii) the Community Services Act 2007; (iii) the Constitution of Queensland 2001; (iv) the Economic Development Act 2012; (v) the Education (General Provisions) Act 2006; (vi) the Electricity Act 1994; (vii) the Financial Accountability Act 2009; (viii) the Gas Supply Act 2003; (ix) the Housing Act 2003; (x) the Local Government Act 2009; (xi) the Planning Act 2016; (xii) the Queensland Reconstruction Authority Act 2011; (xiii) the Transport Operations (Road Use Management) Act 1995; (xiv) the Water Supply (Safety and Reliability) Act 2008; (b) the chief health officer under the Hospital and Health Boards Act 2011; (c) the police commissioner; (d) the commissioner of the Queensland Ambulance Service; (e) the commissioner under the Fire Services Act 1990. (2) For section 19A(1)(b) of the Act, the following persons are to observe the way the QDMC carries out its functions— (a) the inspector-general; (b) the chief executive officer of the Local Government Association of Queensland Ltd ACN 142 783 917; (c) for functions relating to a disaster for which a Crisis Communication Network has been established—the chair of the Crisis Communication Network. (3) In this section— Crisis Communication Network means a group of that name established under an administrative arrangement to help to coordinate public information relating to a disaster.
