An Act to amend the Suncorp Insurance and Finance Act 1985 Suncorp Insurance and Finance Amendment

BE IT ENACTED by the Queen's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of Queensland in

Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows.

Short title

Clause1. This Act may be cited as the Suncorp Insurance and Finance Amendment Act 1992.

Amended Act

Clause2. The Suncorp Insurance and Finance Act 1985 is amended as set out in this Act.

Amendment of s.15 (Other officers of Corporation) Clause3. Section 15(5)(a) (after 'disciplinary action against him')—

insert ', other than dismissal or suspension from duty,'.

Amendment of s.16 (Rights of officers previously employed in the Public Service)

Clause4, Section 16(3)—

omit. 1114 16 Suncorp Insurance and Finance Amendment

omit.

2. Section 5 (definitions "Minister", "Public Service" and "Treasurer")—

omit.

3. Section 15(2)— omit 'Industrial Conciliation and Arbitration Act 1961-1985", insert 'Industrial Relations Act 1990'.

4. Section 15(3)— omit 'Public Service Act 1922-1978' (wherever occurring), insert 'Public Service Management and Employment Act 1988".

5. Section 15(3) (2nd sentence)—

omit 'who has not elected pursuant to section 16(2) to continue to be an officer of the Public Service'.
