Carriage of Dangerous Goods by Road Amendment
BE IT ENACTED by the Queen's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of Queensland in
Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows.
Short title
Clause1. This Act may be cited as the Carriage of Dangerous Goods by Road Amendment Act 1993.
Commencement
Clause2. This Act commences on a day to be fixed by proclamation.
Amended Act
Clause3. The Carriage of Dangerous Goods by Road Act 1984 is amended as set out in this Act.
Amendment of s.4 (Application of Act) Clause4, Section 4(2)(c)— omit, insert—
'(c) the transfer, under the Gas Act 1965, of gas (within the meaning of that Act) to or from a road tank vehicle or bulk container; and
(d) the carriage by vehicle of packages of liquefied petroleum gas if the aggregate capacity of the packages is not more than | 000 L and—
(i) no other dangerous goods are being carried by the vehicle at the same time; or
(11) the packages are being carried by—
(A) a primary producer, or a person employed by a primary producer, for use by the primary producer; or
(B) a tradesperson, or a person employed by a tradesperson, for the purposes of a trade.'. 11 1316 1821 24 26

Amendment of s.5 (Meaning of terms) Clause5. Section 5(1) (definitions "dangerous goods" and "the Code" )— omit, insert— * "dangerous goods" means— (a) dangerous goods under the Code; or (b) goods prescribed by regulation to be dangerous goods;
