An Act to repeal the Education (Consultation on Curriculum) Act 1988, and for related purposes

Education (Consultation on Curriculum) Repeal

BE IT ENACTED by the Queen's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of Queensland in

Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows.

Short title

Clausel. This Act may be cited as the Education (Consultation on Curriculum) Repeal Act 1993.

Definitions Clause2. In this Act—

"Corporation" means the Minister for Education of Queensland, the

corporation sole established under the Education (General Provisions) Act 1989.

"Council" means the Ministerial Consultative Council on Curriculum

established under the Education (Consultation on Curriculum) Act 1988;

Transfer of property and liabilities of Council to Corporation Clause3. On the commencement of this Act—

(a) all property and liabilities of the Council become the property and liabilities of the Corporation; and

(b) areference in a document to the Council is taken to be a reference to the Corporation; and

(c) the Corporation is substituted as a party for the Council in all pending and existing proceedings to which the Council becomes or is a party.

Clause4. Section 33 of the Education (Consultation on Curriculum) Act 1988 continues to apply to the period 1 January 1992 to 31 December
