Electoral and Administrative Review Amendment
BE IT ENACTED by the Queen's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of Queensland in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows.
Short title
Clause1. This Act may be cited as the Electoral and Administrative Review Amendment Act 1993.
Amended Act
Clause2. The Electoral and Administrative Review Act 1989 is amended as set out in this Act.
Amendment of s.2.6 (Tenure of office) Clause3.(1) Section 2.6(1)—
omit 'less than two years or'.
(2) After section 2.6(3)—
insert—
'(4) The Governor in Council may, by Gazette notice, extend the term of appointment of a member of the Commission by not more than 6 months.
*(5) To remove any doubt, the extension of the term of a Commissioner is not an appointment under this Act.'.
