The Parliament of Queensland enacts—
Short title
Clause1. This Act may be cited as the Golden Casket Art Union Amendment Act 1993.
Amended Act
Clause2. The Golden Casket Art Union Act 1978 is amended as set out in this Act.
Insertion of new s.22A Clause3. After section 22— insert— 'Winning Instant Casket tickets '22.A.(1) In this section— "Instant Casket" has the meaning given by the rules; "symbol" includes amount, word and number.
'(2) This section is enacted to settle any doubt (if it is necessary to do so) about whether tickets in certain Instant Caskets conducted before the commencement of this section are tickets that entitle the ticket holder to a prize.
'(3) Subsections (5) and (6) apply to a ticket in an Instant Casket that included a statement to the effect that a prize is won if a specified number of symbols printed in a panel on the ticket are matched.
'(4) Subsection (7) applies to a ticket in an Instant Casket whether or not it included a statement to that effect. 11131618 2023 Golden Casket Art Union Amendment
'(5) The ticket is a winning ticket only if the panel has printed in it the specified number of the same symbol.

'(6) The ticket is not a winning ticket if, for example, the panel has printed in it the specified number of pairs of different symbols.
